Starzmann Book

There has been an intense family research for years, especially in Württemberg, Germany. On October 7, 2000, there was a first family reunion meeting in Gomadingen, Germany.

On that day a book entitled “350 Years of STARZMANN in Württemberg” was presented. It was published in German and partly translated into English as indicated in the following table of contents:

All descendants from Jerg Starzmann (b. in 1613 on the Farm Starzmann in Upper Bavaria, Germany; d. in 1674 in Gomadingen, Germany) has been taken into consideration as well as their partners. This leads to a total number of 2,273 persons.
Direct offsprings count 1,606 and The Complete Ancestry of Jerg Starzmann considers 687 families. Female descendants are included since about the year 1900. The research stops in the year 2000.

Einige inhaltliche Angaben über das Buch und den Stand der
Forschung:
Alle Namensträger, die von Jerg Starzmann abstammen
(geboren 1613 auf dem Hof Starzmann in Oberbayern,
gestorben 1674 in Gomadingen), sind ab dem Jahr 1650
erfasst, ebenso die angeheirateten Ehepartner. So
ergibt es eine Gesamtzahl von 2273 Personen. Direkte
Nachkommen von Jerg Starzmann sind 1606 bekannt,
(Stand 14.12.2000). Das Sippenbuch, die Anordnung
nach Familien, weist 687 Familien aus. Etwa ab dem
Jahr 1900 sind auch die weiblichen STARZMANN - Nachkommen
(Tochterstämme) erfasst. Die Erfassung reicht bis in die
Gegenwart, das Jahr 2000.
